So you’ve just purchased your new hunting handgun for your next trek out into the wild. Maybe it’s equipped with a scope or maybe you opted for the longer barrel. So what are your options?

Let’s start with the basic gun with an 8inch barrel and larger. Thе Ñ€rоblеm here is due to the barrel length it takes a long draw length to clear the barrel from the holster. But here come the negatives – now you have about 8 inches or more of leather covered metal sticking out to the side getting in the way when you are getting in your treestand. So why is it so hard to find a holster that accommodates a handgun with a scope. There are a few manufacturers on the market that make a holster where basically the Revolver rocks forward out of the holster, making for a faster short draw access. Allessi Holsters was one of the manufacturers and I believe the original inventor of this style revolver holster. Unfortunately they have fallen to the economic times and are no longer in business. I have seen others on the internet building similar holsters, so with a little searching you can find someone. These are ideal again for the nonscoped hunting revolvers, but what do you do if you want to step up your game and add a scope.
